BEST OF 2015

This is the final week of 2015 and it feels like it’s time to starting looking at wrapping up the year in photos. I want to focus on highlighting some of my BEST work of 2015. I don’t have a system in place to do this for every shoot, but looking forward to 2016 I will be starting to set aside my best work so that I can always refer back to it quickly. Knowing this, it will make my post creation for next year very easy since all I will have to do is put my best and favorite images in a “2015 Portfolio” folder.

Looking back at these images, I am impressed with how far I’ve come in taking photographs of others. It was fun year and taking photographs gave me a creative outlet to experience the world through a different lens. When looking back at the photos of Switzerland or my graduation, I can remember exactly how I was feeling and can relate to how those I was taking photos of were feeling at that moment. Enjoy this fun recap of an incredible year of portraits!!!!

Having not much time to setup the shoot with the sun going down, I felt like I best captured the family, but with a gorgeous warm sunset in the background. This photo constantly cracks me up when looking at my baby cousins. From a portrait session I did for my cousin's and their kids. The raw emotion and how much they love each other and get along speaks volumes to this moment captured. This photo constantly cracks me up when looking at my baby cousins. As I told her to put her head on his shoulder they both look so happy with each other and where they are in life that I just loved how this turned out. There were a couple of great images within the span of 30seconds of this image, but I thought this was the best with the subtle smiles and warm motherly love you can see on Emma's face. Kai here out fishing, but although his father is slightly out of the photo, I thought it captured this family the best since they love to be outdoors and active and fish.
