Are you updating your resume or looking to switch careers? Chances are you’ll need a new headshot for LinkedIn. One that shares who you are (whether it be a recent-grad, actress, or veteran) in a professional way. With the right headshot, you can grab the attention of hiring staff and nab the job you want.
Working with Alan is always a pleasure. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and then carefully directed and adjusted the shoot to make sure that the end result exceeded expectations. His light hearted nature and warm presence made it easy for me to feel comfortable and relaxed which is really the key to capturing a good headshot. The experience was easy and fun and I look forward to shooting with him again.

It’s time to update your headshots and you’re looking at Murphy Studio to get the job done. Reach out with an email describing what you’re interested in (professional headshots for you, your employees, or for an event or conference) and what date you have in mind. We’ll set up a call to answer any questions you might have, bounce ideas back and forth, and hash out the details. That way you have everything at your fingertips in order to book your headshot session.
After you’ve booked a headshot session, you’ll receive an in-depth guide to help prepare you for a successful photoshoot. This guide will cover all the necessary details like the location and time as well as helpful tips and tricks to help you look your best in front of the camera. Feel free to ask any questions about the guide, timeline, or anything regarding the photoshoot at this time. More than anything, I want you to feel both prepared and comfortable walking onto set day-of, and that starts with asking the right questions.
Plan to arrive at the studio 15-20 minutes early in order to get into the groove. There will be music playing, refreshments available for you to fuel up on, and a queue of other business professionals, actors, or veterans waiting to get their headshot taken that you can chat with. This is a great time to observe how people are posing in front of camera so you know what to expect when it’s your turn.
Once it’s your turn, we’ll position you in front of camera for 15 minutes of shooting. You’ll be completely taken care of, with plenty of direction and poses that best fit the vibe you’re looking to give off. Then we break mid-shoot in order for you to review your photos and discuss what you’d like to do in the next set of frames. You also have the option for a quick outfit change if you like at this time. When you’re ready, we’ll resume for another 15 minutes of shooting (which by this point, you’ll be an absolute pro) and then call it a day.
After the photoshoot, you’ll receive a set of 50-100 proofs for you to review. Pick your favorites from the lineup (about 3-5) and they’ll be edited to your liking. Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll receive the digital prints of your headshots online. From there, you can immediately add them to your LinkedIn, company website, or personal website.
