Photographs may hold a memory in time, but videos play out a moment continuously. Murphy Studio, a photojournalistic wedding videographer, films your wedding day like a friendly fly on the wall, thoughtful and unseen. From the tremble in your voice as you read your vows to one another, to the chorus of laughter and tears from the father of the bride speech, to your first dance together to “your song” - I’ll be filming.

Anytime you replay your wedding video, you’ll feel all the emotion of the day hit you once again in real time. The final film will capture a day filled with smiles, tears, and dance moves of the ones you love - your friends, family, and the two of you together.

We Meet

A month before your wedding we meet at the trailhead, a dog park, a beer festival, or whatever ecompasses you both as a couple. That way we can get to know each other and feel comfortable the day of. So, tell me what you’re passionate about, what makes you come alive, and what you love about each other.

Also, if you have any creative ideas that you think will look great on film like using smoke bombs or lanterns on your wedding day, this a great time to bounce them off me. I love seeing what excites you and working as a sounding board in your planning process.

You will have the best day ever and I’ll be there to catch every second of it on film. That way, I can hit each main highlight and every tiny detail along the way (including any adaptations that may arise.) The coolest part? You may not even notice me. I work like a fly on the wall, with long lenses and a documentary-style eye.

After witnessing the majestic fjords and caves of Iceland, I’d like to see Canada’s vast icy wonderland of blue glaciers in person.

There’s something to be said about the magic Vermont. Especially when then the leaves change colors in the fall; there’s a chill in the air and small New England towns like Burlington are so inviting.

I’ve always wanted to explore the Florida Everglades and see first-hand the wetlands with their towering cypress trees and alligators hidden in the sawgrass.

Living in New Jersey, a trip to New York is always on the horizon. Whether it’s to be wowed by the lights of NYC, to honor the military tradition of West Point, or to relax in the quietude of Lake George.

Though Murphy Studio is based in New Jersey, I’m always road-trip-ready for adventurous couples looking to tie the knot up and down the East Coast (and beyond.) Below are a few of the destinations I’ve had my eye on exploring and hope to get the chance to do with you for your wedding day.

There’s no place I’d love to hike more than the Shenandoah mountains. I can’t wait to someday climb to the peak of Reddish Knob and look out on the red, gold, and green treetops below.

The Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina are a sight I long to see and of course hike. I’d also like to try the BBQ in Raleigh while I’m out there!
