Heather & Ali| Engaged | October 2015
Ali is cousin’s with my best friend Dan and I was very excited when she asked if I could photograph her surprise proposal to Heather in Philadelphia. I’ve known Ali since I was a kid, so I knew she was serious about Heather when she started talking about rings at her recent birthday party. Ali asked me if I could help plan out a surprise proposal for Heather on a walking tour of Philadelphia that she was planning.
The day began with a morning brunch at Dan’s house before we headed out to Philly. We started at the Liberty Bell at Independence Hall, and proceeded with our planned tour. We finished at sunset by the Art Museum at Boathouse Row where Ali proposed. Heather was completely surprised and I was so excited to be able to capture their special moment.

To narrow the group to only Heather and Ali, I asked for couple’s only for this photo
Right around the moment Heather realized everyone was in on the surprise!
Surprise! Everyone had rings to go around
Alan did a wonderful job! Not only did he get great pictures of Ali and I, he was able to do it without me knowing that these photos would ultimately end with a proposal. I was so shocked and clearly taken by emotion. I couldn’t be more happy to have had Alan there to capture these moments. Moments I will never forget! I love the time and effort Alan put into getting everything together to take a perfect picture. He definitely has talent and I am referring him to all of my friends and family for all sorts of occasions. Thanks Alan!
